So You Think You Have A Novel in You? with Antonya Nelson
So, you think you have a novel to write? Let’s talk about it. Award-winning author Antonya Nelson will help students focus on solidifying strategies for writing a novel. Students should bring first chapters, or outlines, or simply ideas for discussion. A few familiar published novels will be used as examples to help illustrate craft issues, but are suggested rather than required reading (Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby, Robinson’s Housekeeping, Woolf’s Mrs. Dalloway, Forster’s A Passage to India, Morrison’s Sula, and McCullers’ The Member of the Wedding). Students should bring first chapters, or outlines, or simply ideas for discussion. Bring a laptop, paper and pencil, or any other writing implements desired. Students of the Ah Haa School are eligible for discounted lodging through Telluride Alpine Lodging. To receive your discount, please contact Chris Esch via email or call (970)729-8821.
