Public Speaking: Putting the Polish on your Presentation with Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer | Wednesdays, March 6 – 27

f you feel fairly comfortable in front of a crowd, but you’d like to improve your public speaking skills, this class is for you. Sure, we’ll talk about body language, volume and pacing. We’ll talk about the writing itself and how to organize your thoughts in compelling and effective ways. But most of all, we will focus on authenticity, presence and relevance. Whether you want to run for public office or just hope to speak with more poise amongst your peers, this class offers opportunities to gain skills and self-assurance. Students should either eat an early lunch or bring snacks. Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer taught Public Speaking for Colorado Mesa University through University Centers of the San Juans and has been a public speaker for over twenty years. She’s spoken and keynoted for over a thousand audiences, including conventions, professional organizations, universities, school assemblies, graduation ceremonies, festivals, churches, clubs and more. Clients include USDA, Camp Coca Cola, Craig Hospital, Business & Professional Women, Western Colorado Hospice, and more. She was a member of the National Speakers Association and has won awards for performance poetry. Visit her at www.wordwoman.com
