Pigment Patchwork Techniques in Fiber Arts with Rhonda Denney
Create a pigmented, patchwork piece that creates a statement and builds skills for future work. Join award winning textile artist Rhonda Denney for a two-day workshop exploring her unique process of using fabric, pigments and stitches to create a statement. Students will use their own photographs or images as inspiration to create a small project (approximately 12” x 12”) that incorporates a variety of pigmenting tools, stitching and embellishment techniques for a wonderful effect. Each student will begin their own projects, and will come away with a set of skills needed to create and complete their own pigmented and patchwork piece, as well as new techniques that can be used for quilting and other textile arts.
