Herbal Infused Oils for Beautiful Skin with Sheila Manzagol
The skin is the body’s largest organ, protecting us from microbes and helping regulate body temperature, among other important functions. Skin is considered to be the “second lung” of the body in Eastern medicine, and as such can “breathe in” (or absorb) both nutrients and toxins. Therefore, what we put on our skin is of critical importance for health and beauty. Join herbalist Sheila Manzagol for a holistic skin care workshop. After gaining an understanding of skin and it’s many functions, the class will discuss botanicals, essential oils, carrier oils, and minerals that can benefit skin vitality. Students will then have the opportunity to help create two infused herbal oils to help support the health and appearance of their skin.
