Art for the Heart: Morning Session with Paula Jo Miller | Ages 18+

This Valentine’s Day, give yourself or someone you love the gift of creativity. One of medicine’s oldest and most powerful healing tools, creating art has been shown to improve heart rate and blood pressure, lower stress hormones, improve sleep, and lessen physical pain. This half-day workshop will allow students to play with different mediums and techniques as they experience collage, journaling, haiku writing, and mandala making. All activities are intentional and meant to help students express themselves, deepen their powers of observation, convey emotion and relieve stress. Simply come dressed for a mess and ready to explore; all materials are included, including smocks. Please Note: The morning and afternoon Art for the Heart workshops are the same. If you register for the morning workshop and think you might want to continue working on favorite activities in the afternoon, consider registering for both workshops.
