Sinfully Healthy Cooking with Lucy Perutz
Friday, February 27 | 10am – 2pm | $50 tuition + $35 ingredients Learn delicious ways to “veganize” or “health-ify” your most indulgent recipes. We all have those favorite, not-so-healthy dishes that we simply can’t resist when the cravings hit. This class will equip you with an arsenal of alternative ingredient choices and cooking methods for re-vamping those sinful recipes in a flavorful and satisfying way. Learn how to use more healthful baking techniques, swap out certain fats for healthier ones and, most of all, how to successfully revamp a recipe (or when not to even try). Lucy will even share her own alternative approach to her favorite childhood meal, spaghetti and meatballs, using whole grains, nuts, tempeh and gluten-free ingredients. Students should bring one recipe you wish to “health-ify.” Please note this class takes place at Mountaintop Catering in Lawson Hill.
