Drawing Fundamentals Through Still Life & Self Portraiture with Daniel Kanow
Mondays, February 23 – March 30 | 5:30 – 8:30pm | $200 tuition + $50 materials Develop and grow your drawing skills over six weeks. This six-week intensive enables beginning- and intermediate-level artists to experiment with still life and self portraiture while advancing their fundamental technical skills. Using primarily charcoal, conte and paper, students will begin with still life and evolve toward making self portraits using mirrors. All students will apply the principles of value, basic composition and proportion using geometric forms and more complicated shapes (including cast heads and torsos), leading into to self portraiture. Throughout the class, students will be encouraged to explore and develop their own authentic voice. All supplies are included in the materials fee.
