Timshel Theatre presents "The Oldest Profession"
Montrose's Timshel Theatre comes to Telluride to perform the play "The Oldest Profession" on Friday Nov. 1, 2013 to benefit the Sheridan Arts Foundation at the historic Sheridan Opera House. As Ronald Reagan enters the White House, five aging practitioners of the oldest profession are faced with a diminishing clientele, increased competition for their niche market and aching joints. With wit, compassion and humor, they struggle to find and learn new tricks as they fight to stay in the life. Directed by Bill Bottomly and staring Ciel Bottomly, Ginny Spaven, Margie Ferguson, Patricia Myers and Cynthia Robinson-Sherer, this play will surely entertain. With the warmth generated by longtime friendships and personality enriched by a lifetime of experience, the actresses in "The Oldest Profession" humanizes the absurd spectacle of elderly prostitutes. Tickets are $12 general admission and $10 for seniors. The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. and the doors open at 7 p.m.
