Come up to Mountain Village beginning Thursday, January 12 and witness the initial creation of fantastic works of the imagination, all made out of huge 8 square foot cubes of snow. It's the 8th annual CoolSculpt snow sculpting competition with such ideas being created as a polar bear protecting a young girl and a four person racing bob sled complete with two seats for your kids to sit poised for action. These, along with 2 more fantastic sculptures, will be created on the plazas around Mountain Village. Judging will be done by the 2008 USA Olympic Gold Medal Ice Carving Champion Benjamin Rand on Monday, January 16th at 9 AM. If you can't make it up to see the festivities during the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend, come on up after to see the completed sculptures. They should remain up through the month of January and beyond, weather permitting.
