Second Stage Play: A Fox on the Fairway

Jeb Berrier and the Sheridan Arts Foundation present the annual Second Stage holiday play at the historic Sheridan Opera House, Sunday, December 18 through Thursday, December 22, nightly at 8pm. This annual event features a family friendly play with a subtle holiday twist - sure to have you laughing and clapping the night away. This year's show is a tribute from Ken Ludwig (Lend Me A Tenor, Moon Over Buffalo) to the great English farces of the 1930s and 1940s, The Fox On the Fairway. The Fox on the Fairway takes audiences on a hilarious romp which pulls the rug out from underneath the stuffy denizens of a private country club. Filled with mistaken identities, slamming doors, and over-the-top romantic shenanigans, it's a furiously paced comedy that recalls the Marx Brothers' classics. A charmingly madcap adventure about love, life, and man's eternal love affair with… golf. And of course, the local Telluride actors will be sure to throw in some holiday cheer and mishaps we can all relate to. Tickets are now on sale at the link above, $16 GA, age appropriate for all. A grand slam…a joy to behold!”− Washington City Paper“ The Fox on the Fairway is phenomenally funny!” -NJ Star Ledger “Farce raised to an art.” – The Home-News Tribune “A belly laugh marathon! An amazingly ingenious satirical farce.”−“ Joyously ridiculous!”− “Ken Ludwig has written a masterpiece (with) all of the elements that will most certainly make it a hit show from coast to coast.”-Out in Jersey
