Stay and Play in Telluride This Summer With Free Wednesdays

The mountains are calling visitors this summer with the enticing invitation to stay and play into the week in Telluride with the new Free Wednesdays special. Valid Sunday – Thursday throughout the summer season, the promotion gives visitors the chance to add an extra night onto their stay for free at a number of properties throughout Telluride and Mountain Village.

This means more time to create a vacation experience that is truly “Made in Telluride”, from hiking to the nearby alpine lakes to honing photography skills on Telluride Outside’s customized photo tours, going extreme on the Via Ferrata cable climbing system, learning a new craft at the Ah Haa School for the Arts or simply indulging in Telluride’s eclectic array of award winning restaurants.

As the “Festival Capital of the Southwest”, Telluride offers many reasons to kick off a getaway on the weekend, then stay to enjoy the outdoors throughout the week. Long-standing favorites like Telluride Blues & Brews Festival and the iconic Telluride Film Festival, and those rapidly gaining acclaim like the Telluride Yoga Festival are just a few of the events that draw loyal and passionate festivalgoers each year.

About Telluride and Mountain Village

Nestled within Southwest Colorado’s dramatic San Juan Mountains, Telluride, Colorado, (elevation: 8,750 ft.) is known for its world-class alpine skiing, awe-inspiring landscapes and vibrant summer festival season. The former mining town lies in a box canyon, surrounded on all three sides by 14,000-foot peaks, providing the ideal environment for hiking, mountain biking, trail running and other outdoor activities. Telluride is linked to the neighboring Mountain Village (elevation: 9,540) by a free, scenic gondola – the only transportation system of its kind in North America.
