What's Going On This Week?
The snow is here! In the last 5 days, it has snowed nearly two feet and our beautiful boxed canyon is blanketed in white. The town is jumping for joy and along with all of the great outdoor activities, there are plenty more to enjoy! Check out the featured events below.
The Floozie Live: This live electronic duo features brothers Matt and Mark Hill who share both the stage and a musical brain. A bold live show full of sonic exploration and unbreakably deep pocket grooves has landed the brothers on stage with luminaries of the jam world Umphrey’s McGee as readily as electronic elites STS9 and Big Gigantic. Tickets are $20 GA on the floor and $30 reserved seats in the balcony.
The Motet Live: The Motet respect and revere this time-honored phenomenon. Fusing fiery funk, simmering soul, and improvisational inventiveness, the Denver, CO seven-piece have continually provided an escape for listeners over the course of seven full-length albums since 1998, including their latest release Totem and with an upcoming 2018 release. Tickets $25 to $45
2nd Satudays Block Party: Join Wagner Custom Skis, Telluride Blues & Brews Festival and Telluride Mountain Club January's 2nd Saturdays Block Party at the Wagner Custom Skis Factory. This month's party will feature cocktails and beer $5, gumbo $5 and music by Kerry Pastine & The Crime Scene. Admission is free!
Ute Roundtable w/ Shaun Capoose: Shaun Chapoose, member of the Uncompahgre band, former chair and current Business Committee member of the Ute Indian Tribe in Fort Duchesne, Utah will host a roundtable to answer questions from the community regarding indigenous issues.
