What's Going On This Week?
The leaves have started to change, there’s a nip in the air and what better way to bring in the fall season other than the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival? Tonight, the festival kicks off in Sunset Plaza in Mountain Village for the free Sunset Blues Concert from 5-7PM. Head to the plaza for the bluesy, rock show featuring Monkey Junk and Brian Keith Wallen. The festival lasts through Sunday and features many great artists including Bonnie Raitt, Steve Winwood and more. In addition to the great lineup, don’t miss the Grand Tasting featuring 56 microbreweries from the Colorado region. Also kicking off Blues & Brews is Mitch Woods, who will be playing live at the Liberty Friday night. On Tuesday, head to San Sophia Station at the top of the free Gondola for an impressive view of the night sky for Stargazing with Mishke, and make sure to dress warm! Lastly, on Thursday, brush up on your history and make your way to the Hotel Madeline where historical reenactor Steve Lee presents, L.L.Nunn, the first successful users of alternating current.
