What's Going On This Week
February kicks off with some great events. From Mary Poppins to a Historic Pub Crawl, there is something for everyone in the family to enjoy! Check out this week’s featured events below.
YPT Presents Mary Poppins: SAF Young People's Theater presents its annual high school musical "Mary Poppins." Mary Poppins follows the iconic nanny as she brings love, laughter, and adventure to the Banks house. Follow this beloved character and sing along to the well-known music. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children 18 and under.
The Downlow: An Evening of Storytelling: Telluride Theatre presents THE DOWNLOW - an evening of storytelling February 6 &7 at 8PM at The SHOW Bar (Sheridan Opera House). Entering it's fourth year, The Downlow- and evening of storytelling has become an extremely popular year-round event. Each Downlow has a different theme and storytellers tell their tales accordingly. This is a one-of-a-kind Telluride show, where non-performers and people you see each day get up to bare their souls, recounting true events and share some outrageous, funny, touching, and incredible stories for the community.
Telluride Mountain Club Fundraiser: Join TMC for their annual Fundraising Film Night. There will be an awesome selection of short films to get you excited about your next outdoor adventure. There will also be a variety of raffle items and a live auctioning of a pair of Wagner Custom Skis!
Historic Pub Crawl: Join the Telluride Museum and sip into history starting at The Liberty, then head to The Phoenix Bean for some bites, and round the evening out at Last Dollar Saloon/The Buck. “We Built This City” is the theme and at each stop a speaker will give historical insight to the development of Telluride, how the town evolved from a builders perspective, and the stories behind some of the most iconic buildings. Ticket prices include one drink per stop, as well as food at the Phoenix Bean. There will also be a raffle for a prize at the end! Purchase tickets at the Museum, over the phone or online.
