Gus Kenworthy - Telluride's Native Son

The kids who grow up in Telluride are afforded many opportunities to explore the astounding surroundings of the box canyon - the most uncommon and unique being the Ski PE program. Instead of hitting the gymanasium, kids hit the slopes in the winter for PE.  Gus Kenworthy, born and raised in Telluride, participated in Ski PE and his love of the sport blossomed at a very ealrly age. He was part of an exceptional tribe of freestylers who challenged and pushed Gus to into the free skiing world. Embracing his obvious talent, Gus turned professional at the ripe age of 16.  This native son of Telluride, Gus qualified for the 2014 Sochi Olympics, taking the Silver in Men's Freestyle skiing competition.  Most recently Gus captured the Silver medals at Aspen's X Games in both Slopestyle and Superpipe.  Keep on keeping on, Gus!
