Festival of Arts, Wine and Food plus a free show with Joan Osborne
Whether you loved or hated his culinary creations, Hosea Rosenberg winner of Bravo's 2009 New York Season of Top Chef will be on-hand as the featured guest Chef at this year's Telluride Festival of the Arts (TFA) scheduled for August 14-16, 2009.
Hosea’s first restaurant job was as a dishwasher at the Apple Tree Restaurant in Taos. Since then he has worked his way up the ranks, from prep cook to line cook and finally to chef. Past positions include working for Wolfgang Puck, Kevin Taylor, Sean Yontz and Dave Query. His first Chef position was at Dandelion Restaurant in Boulder in 2001. Well-acquainted with the mountains of Colorado and New Mexico have to offer. He is an avid skier, mountain biker, fly fisherman, and all-around outdoor enthusiast.
TFA is the perfect combination of food, wine and the arts. Culinary admirers and fine arts aficionados will find a common passion for food, art and entertainment with the beautiful San Juan Mountains as the backdrop.
From celebrity chef demonstrations to food seminars to a showcase dinner and grand tasting, your tastebuds will be rewarded and educated, at the same time. Some festival favorites also include the martini making and tasting session, as well as the Reidel stemware pairing class, both featuring lavish parting gifts and "interactive" learning.
For the artistically savvy, there is a nationally juried art exhibit organized by the producers of the Cherry Creek Arts Festival, one of the nation's most well known and most competitive outdoor juried arts festivals. The art show is open to the public and will feature artists in 13 different media categories including: ceramics, digital art, drawing, fiber, glass, graphics and printmaking, jewelry, metal-works, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture and wood.
For everyone else, there is a special live performance by Joan Osborne in Sunset Plaza on Friday night. This is a free show!
