Donation Day at the Telluride Ski Resort: A Chance to Support the Telluride Ski and Snowboard Club

DSC 0998

Are you ready to get out there and make some turns? Ready to feel the ease associated with gliding down the hill in the cool mountain air with nothing on your mind but where you will ski next? This close to the opening of the Telluride Ski Resort, avid skiers and snowboarders, regardless of ability, are itching to suit up in their equipment and hit the slopes. The first chance to do this is on Donation Day, November 23rd, 2011, at the Telluride Ski Resort. In a program that has occurred in years past, skiers and riders will be charged $25 to hit the slopes a day early. All proceeds will be given to the Telluride Ski & Snowboard Club (TSSC). Children under the age of five are free.

The Telluride Ski and Snowboard Club, which provides competitive snowboarding and skiing for regional youth ages 6-18, is the largest youth organization in the Southwestern Colorado region based on the size and the duration of their programs. The participation rate among students in the Telluride Public School District is over 40%. The TSSC works towards being a support group for those apart of it, and finds it essential to teach safety, sportsmanship, discipline, and mountain etiquette to their athletes. Come out and support this great organization with the added bonus of skiing a day early!   The Telluride Ski Resort is scheduled to open to all pass holders for the regular ski season beginning on November 24th, 2011. Head out there and enjoy that fluffy white stuff!
