Cheer on Gus Kenworthy, Telluride's First Winter Olympian!

Go Gus

There has been a lot of hype in Telluride over the last few weeks surrounding our first born and raised Winter Olympian, Gus Kenworthy.

On Monday, members of the Telluride community came together to cheer Gus on. Local videographer Keith Hill, with the help of Penelope Gleason at Bootdoctors, compiled a must-see video with good luck wishes for Gus. See it here:

Gus will compete in the first-ever Olympic Slopestyle event. The Slopestyle Qualifier will take place this evening LIVE, Wednesday, February 12th, at 11pm, MST. The finals will take place at 2am LIVE on Thursday, February 13th.  The LIVE event can be streamed on NBC’s website if you are a paying cable or satellite subscriber with NBC channels. The taped coverage of the finals will be aired as part of NBC’s primetime network broadcast on the evening of Thursday, February 13th at 7pm. If Gus makes it to the finals, local organizers are hoping to screen the event at the Palm Theatre.
