New Orleans’ Heavyweight Funk ensemble Dumpstaphunk will play at Mountain Village’s annual Red, White & Blues Concert in Sunset Plaza from 4pm-6pm. The concert is free.
The band, based out of New Orleans, LA, features Ivan Neville, with vocals, B3, Clav, and guitar, Tony Hall and Nick Daniels III with their double bass attack and soulful voices, and Nikki Glaspie adding vocals and drums. To hear their performance from the 2012 New Orleans Jazz Fest, click here.

July 4thThe Telluride Fourth of July Parade will begin at 11am, and heads west to east on Main Street (Colorado Avenue). If you would like to register to participate in the parade, please visit www.telluride4thofjulyparade.com. Prizes will be awarded for “Best of Parade”, as well as for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category. Winners will be announced at the Firemen’s Picnic in Telluride Town Park at 1:30pm.
After the parade, make your way down to the Telluride Town Park to enjoy a series of events hosted by the Telluride Volunteer Fire Department including a picnic and kids’ games.
Live Music July 4thThe Last Dollar Saloon hosts local band The Great Funktier. The show is free, and begins at 9pm. Fly Me to the Moon Saloon hosts White Water Ramble. Show begins at 10pm.
