"From Beasts to Babar…" Telluride Gallery's Biggest Show of the Season

Remember childhood classics like "Where the Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak, the "Babar Series" by Laurent de Brunhoff, "Strega Nona" by Tomie DePaola, among others favorites by Etienne Delessert, Peter Sis, and Henrik Drescher? The Telluride Gallery is featuring original works of art by these children’s illustrators in their show this Thursday, “From Beasts to Babar…” This show has been twenty years in the making and is the Gallery’s biggest show of the season, plus it is the first of a bi-annual tradition. Also featured will be Gennady Spirin, Peter McCarty, Jeanne de Sainte Marie, and Bernie Fuchs.
