Look no further than our 15 days of Telluride, a daily description of what Allegiant travelers can do during their winter vacation. Day 8: Nordic Skiing.

Nordic Skiing:

With seven nordic skiing areas in and surrounding Telluride and Mountain Village, skiers can find all sorts of beautiful terrain to enjoy. Not only is nordic skiing a great cardio workout but in the San Juan Mountains you can enjoy breathtaking scenery while getting a good workout.

For those staying in the Town of Telluride, hop on over to Telluride Town Park and jump on the wonderfully groomed track or walk down the River Trail to the Valley Floor track that offers 20 K of trails. Another in-town alternative is the Idarado Legacy Trail which takes you towards the end of the Box Canyon to the old mill.

Mountain Village offers 12k of trails and access to the Telluride Ski Resort's nordic and snowshoeing trails at TopATen.

For more of an adventure head on out to the beautiful Trout Lake or Priest Lake tracks.

The Nordic Ski Association keeps all tracks up and running and offer lessons and eqipment rentals and are located in Telluride Town Park. Stop by their office to get all info that you could ever need on this great activity.
