Located in Telluride’s historic train depot building, the Ah Haa School for the Arts is a community center for the arts, offering year-round classes for children and adults in a variety of artistic mediums including painting, ceramics, mixed media, photography, writing, cooking, wellness, and more. Other programs include the prestigious American Academy of Bookbinding, and the Telluride Painting School, providing concentrated painting classes each summer and fall.

All children are budding artists! Nurture their creativity with No School Art Days, After School programs, and Four-Day Art Camps and Fabulous Fridays during the summer months. Each class brings a new and exciting topic for a variety of age groups, whether throwing bowls on a wheel, creating mixed-media sculptures, or painting in the style of a famous artist. Ah Haa’s art curriculum is designed to instill confidence, creativity and proficiency in a fun and exciting atmosphere.

Art Anytime allows students of all ages to design classes during convenient times that work well with their schedules. Explore just about any medium – jewelry, ceramics, painting, printmaking, photography, mixed media, cooking and more!

Ah Haa has a full schedule of incredible workshops and opportunities for adults of all levels – from one-day workshops to ongoing classes – taught by experienced teachers and well-known artists alike. Learn painting or ceramics in once-a-week classes, or immerse yourself in a more specialized workshop, such as shibori silk dyeing, encaustic painting or landscape photography. Whatever your interest, Ah Haa is sure to inspire a new level of creativity.

Celebrating a special day, holiday party or birthday bash? Need to organize a meeting or conference? Set along the San Miguel River and surrounded by towering evergreens and brilliant aspens, the Ah Haa School’s Depot building is an elegant, yet intimate, venue unlike any other location in town. With two spacious galleries, an outdoor deck and patio, a kitchen work space, and more, the Ah Haa School provides the ultimate setting to celebrate your special day or achieve the tasks at hand for your next meeting.
