These stunning waterfalls, at 365 feet in length, are the tallest free falling falls in Colorado, and they entice many people to hike, bike or four-wheel drive up the road.
A 1.3-mile loop starting from and returning to the Station St. Sophia Gondola trailhead with an elevation change of 170 feet. Crosses Telluride, Lookout and Milk Run ski trails.
From Telluride, follow the Bike Path to Lawson Hill. From Society Drive, find the Galloping Goose trailhead off San Miguel River Drive. Follow the historic railroad grade down to Illium Road.
