Village Trail
Easy Hiking and Biking Trail - The Village Trail is a rolling three mile descent from the Station St. Sophia Gondola terminal crossing ski runs with great views to the west while traversing through aspen and spruce-dominated drainages. A 1,000-foot vertical drop brings you back to Mountain Village Boulevard.
Begin at St. Sophia Gondola Station, go past the Nature Center and veer to the right to find the marked Prospect Trail trailhead, which splits shortly after it begins. Turn down to the right, continuing under Lift 4 to Prospect Creek Drive.
To make a loop, go approximately 100 feet up the road (left onto San Joaquin Road) to connect to the Sheridan Road (dirt) that will lead back to St. Sophia Station via Sheridan Trail.
