Bilk Creek Basin

Views of Wilson Peak from Bilk creek basin
Distance:
5 miles one way
Elevation Gain:
3000 feet

Moderate - This three hour loop follows alongside Bilk Creek, through meadows and views of waterfalls.

Start at trailhead on Sunshine Mesa at road #623. Walk for about 15 minutes and then turn right at the signpost. You will walk downhill, cross the creek and when you meet another signpost turn left.

Walk up the creek for 1 ½ hours, and cross the creek again. (You can make the hike much longer by going on straight ahead to Lizard Head Trail). After crossing the creek walk along the contour back to the trailhead. This hike can also be done the other way around which has less uphill climbs.
