Telluride Tourism Board Hires New Group Sales Manager

Telluride, Colo. (Aug. 1, 2012) - The Telluride Tourism Board (TTB) is pleased to announce its recent hire of Sarah McLean, who will join the TTB team as Group Sales Manager. In this role, McLean will play an integral part in the growth and success of the TTB’s group sales department. She will work closely with the team to ensure that all goals are met by coordinating sales efforts and cultivating potential clients.

McLean’s previous experience as Group Sales Manager for both the Durango Area Tourism Office and Durango Mountain Resort has equipped her with a skill set that promises to benefit the TTB. While working at the Durango Area Tourism Office, McLean developed strong relationships with local community organizations, created its first group and meeting guide and was responsible for setting and achieving revenue goals.

“There couldn’t be a more perfect fit for this position than Sarah,” said Michael Martelon, president and CEO of the TTB. “Her range of experience, first-hand knowledge of the meeting industry and understanding of the unique facets of mountain destinations make her a tremendous addition to our team.”

McLean is a Colorado native and has spent the past 15 years in Durango. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from Fort Lewis College.  No matter the season, McLean takes full advantage of Colorado’s outdoor activities including hiking, snowboarding, snowshoeing, skiing and cycling.

“It is an honor to join the Telluride Tourism Board team, and I am really looking forward to becoming an active part of this passionate community,” McLean said. “I can’t wait to explore and promote all that Telluride has to offer, especially the culinary scene and incredible mountain adventures.”

McLean shares her excitement with her husband, Eli and 4-year-old daughter, Colbie.
