Stephanie Morgan Rogers’ new body of work titled Heaven/Earth was inspired by the sky and where it meets the earth, and where we fit in as people, fleeting from one realm to the next. The Heaven and Earth concept is about dichotomies – what is visible and what is unseen. It is about that magical intersection where these two realms mix.

She is interested in rural life,  “salt of the earth” daily work.  Living close to the land gives her a unique perspective.

“I am able to experience how the seasons affect this work, and the how relationships between people, animals and the seasons are all interconnected.”

Her art is a seamless blend of Old World ambience and American Folk Art.

“I find my inspiration in classic literature, fairy tales and all things old.  I like to blend classic with American Folk art, using a variety of media, with my favorites being ink, acrylics, oils and gouache.  More than anything, I have a passion for using vintage materials, such as tin and old wood panels, that lend a sense of history to my pieces”.

Stephanie Morgan Rogers’ work is created out of antique tin, metal and canvas which lends to it’s rustic chic and old world charm. Her work ranges from large commissions, unique tin paintings to unique one-of-a-kind jewelry. She has been featured in numerous publications around the world, including Vogue Living, Traditional Home and Belle Décor.

Stephanie resides near Telluride, Colorado with her husband and three children on a small ranch with the animals that inspire her work.

The exhibit opens on February 7th and runs through the end of the month. An opening reception for the artist will be held during first Thursday Art Walk, on February 7th from 5-8pm. A second party for the artist will be held on Saturday from 4-8pm. Meet the artist and hear her speak about the work at 6:30 pm.

Regular hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 12-6pm or by appointment.
