"Flow State," Captures the Singular Focus of Ski Zen

Warren Miller's 63rd Annual Ski Film Features Telluride Helitrax and Local Scott Kennet

Telluride, CO December 17, 2012 -- Travis Julia Presents will host three screenings of Warren Miller's latest snow flick, "Flow State," featuring local Scott Kennett and footage from Telluride Helitrax at the Sheridan Opera House on Sunday, December 23.

Sunday's screenings deliver Warren Miller’s 63rd annual ski and snowboard film. The film guides viewers to the top of the world’s most striking peaks on an exhilarating journey across the globe to Norway, Austria, California, Switzerland and beyond, including Telluride, which is featured prominently in the film thanks to access provided by Telluride Helitrax, Colorado's most experienced helicopter back country skiing operation.

"The Flow State is a place where the impossible becomes possible – where time slows down and a perfect moment becomes attainable. This film reveals what it is like to be completely immersed in the present…completely immersed in the snow, in the mountains, and in the enjoyment of winter,” explains film director, Max Bervy.

Hosted by Jonny Moseley and showcasing celebrated athletes including Colby West, Chris Davenport, Jess McMillan and David Wise, "Flow State," throws down some of the most captivating footage ever shot by Warren Miller Entertainment. Olympic gold medalist Ted Ligety takes on Alaska’s mighty Chugach, Julian Carr bombs down Utah’s famed Wasatch, Jackie Paaso explores the Norwegian Arctic and Chris Anthony and Telluride local, Scott Kennett, make Warren Miller history on 70-year-old, 10th Mountain Division ski equipment.

The idea to honor the 10th Mountain Division was pitched to Warren Miller Entertainment by Kennett, who grew up with the legend of his uncle, a member of the famed Mountain Division.

"Flow State," offers film goers a magnitude of ski and snowboard action that can’t be matched anywhere else. The film will be screened as part of a limited release. With screenings often running for one night only, Warren Miller films attract a cult-like following and mark the official start of winter for sports enthusiasts everywhere.

Warren Miller premieres are an experience, a party and a phenomenon not to be missed – Sunday's film attendees have a chance to win exciting prizes from local sponsor Bootdoctors, experience Telluride on the big screen and hear from Scott Kennett on his experiences filming "Flow State."

Shows are general admission and open to all ages. Show times are at 4p.m., 6p.m. and 8:30p.m. Doors open a half hour before show time. Tickets are available at  A portion of the proceeds benefit Telluride EcoAction Partners.
