The Sheridan Arts Foundation and Jeb Berrier present the 14th annual Telluride Comedy Fest Feb. 14-17 with a hilarious weekend of comedy courtesy of some of the best and funniest performers working today. Each night features a unique show blending stand-up, sketch and improvisational comedy. Many comedians who have made it big started out on the Sheridan Opera House stage long before they were household names. Past performers include Rob Corddry from Hot Tub Time Machine and Children’s Hospital, Jack MacBrayer from 30 Rock, Aziz Anzari of Park & Rec, Rob Riggle of The Daily Show, Ed Helms from The Office and The Hangover and many others. This year’s lineup include stars from such movies or TV shows as HBO’s Enlightened, ABC’s Modern Family, The Descendants, Hot Tub Time Machine, New Girl and many more. The Telluride Comedy Festival strives to be a world-class event while keeping the grassroots feel and uniqueness of Telluride itself. This year’s festival will center on the historic Sheridan Opera House’s 100th anniversary and the Telluride Ski Area’s 40th anniversary.

Thursday Variety Night:
As per the Comedy Fest custom, the festival opens with star comedians paying tribute to the people who live and work here and make Telluride the special, quirky place that it is. For one week only, the SAF will offer locals a special Valentine’s Day discount with the Red Chair Special (two VIP seats plus two glasses of wine and a red rose) for $100, and the Sweetheart Deal (two general admission tickets for $50 total). Buy those special tickets before Feb. 11 by calling 728-6363 ext. 3 or 5. The night will feature: Rob Huebel, Paul Scheer, Jason Mantzoukas, Seth Morris, Scot Armstrong, June Diane Raphael, Danielle Schneider and Morgan Walsh.
Friday Night Comedy:
Friday night will get real with The Realest Real Housewives Show staring Michaela Watkins, June Diane Raphael, Morgan Walsh, Danielle Schneider and more. It began innocently enough with the Real Housewives of Orange County, and then came the brave ladies of New York, then the peaches of Atlanta, the gems of New Jersey, the titans of Washington D.C. The ladies will bring their popular skit to Telluride to celebrate our national treasure. The evening will be rounded out by a long form improv in the style of the Upright Citizen’s Brigade, with some of the best comedians working today.
Saturday — Dawn of Telluride Comedy Night:
Saturday’s show will be dedicated to the three-letter word that keeps this town going: ski! It’s the ski show! An evening of sketch, improv and madness will pay homage to our beloved ski area, which opened 40 years ago. The night will be hosted by the infamous Telluride Ski Patrol (staring Rob Huebel and Paul Scheer) along with returning Comedy Fest star Rob Corddry and the rest of this year’s entire lineup. Followed by a Dawn of Telluride 70s ski party. Dig your best gaper gear out of the closet and join us for a dance party in the Gallery Room as part of our Centennial Celebration.
Stand Up Comedy Sunday:
Sunday Night is the finale featuring everyone’s favorite genre of comedy: stand-up. The night is hosted by Rob Corddry and will open with Troy Walker and feature Nick Thune. The night will close out with the Armando, a brilliant improv show with monologues. Nick Thune has appeared in a number of mainstream comedy hits and has appeared at the Laugh Factory and on the Tonight Show eight times and has had his own Comedy Central special. “Thick Noon,” his debut album was released on Comedy Central Records in 2010 and was included in Amazon.com’s “Best of 2010 Comedy Albums.”
*The above schedule is subject to change.
VIP Tables Available In addition to reserved theater seating, eight (8) VIP Tables will be available nightly for $500 per table. These tables offer prime cabaret seating on the main floor for four (4) individuals and includes private Meet & Greet reception with the featured comedians following Saturday night’s performance. Also, if you enjoy being the brunt of a joke or a potential candidate to be brought up on stage, these tables are for you!
For a generous donation of $1,000 a supporter or business can sponsor the Sheridan Arts Foundation and receive one table of four for one night (pending availability), receive one framed Comedy Fest poster signed by all the comedians, have your name or business logo listed in two ads (one in the Watch 2/14 and one in the Planet 2/15) and our Festival program (which will reach just shy of 1,000 attendees) and an invitation for four to our closing night party on Sunday with the comedians. Those interested can contact Kathrine Warren at 728-6363 ext. 3.
