Season kick-off party with Joint Point
Telluride’s local jam band

Sheridan Opera House
Showtime: 8:00 p.m., Doors & Box Office: 7:30 p.m.

Tickets GA $15

The Sheridan Arts Foundation kicks off the winter season with local jam band Joint Point on Friday, Nov. 23 at 8 p.m. The night will also celebrate Joint Point’s Stu Sundel-Norlin’s 30th birthday.

The band, which is named after the famous Lift 9 run, is comprised of locals Jeff Haldeman on guitar, Ren Turkile on drums, Sundel-Norlin on electric guitar and vocals and new addition Tom Mann on Bass. Joint Point was formed in the spring of 2009 and is built in the strength of their original and ever-changing improvisational adventures.

Joint Pont’s mountain sound has quickly become a commodity for the hungry Colorado music scene. Local music fans have seen them share the stage with Colorado favorites, Billy Nershi, Drew Emmitt, Michael Kang and the Motet.

Haldeman is looking forward to playing the Opera House again this year. “We don’t get to play in town as much as we used to and this show is Stu’s 30th birthday, so we are prepared to pull out all the stops and make this a memorable night,” he said.

The band has also invited some special guests to join in on the celebration.

Tickets are $$15 general admission and can be purchased online at SheridanOperaHouse.com or directly from band member Jeff Haldeman.
