Telluride First Thursday Art Walk 
Thursday, October 4, 5-8pm 

Telluride Arts

The First Thursday Art Walk is a celebration of the arts in downtown Telluride for art lovers, community and friends.  Venues all over town open their doors from 5pm-8pm to introduce their new exhibitions and artists.  The finest restaurants feature art walk specials that make for a great night out. A free Art Walk Map offers a self-guided tour that can be used at any time.  Maps are available at participating venues and around town or by calling Telluride Arts 970.728.3930

Ah Haa School for the Arts

The Ah Haa School for the Arts is proud to host the exhibition, Roots, by Durango artist Mary Ellen Long. She is an environmental artist who uses artists’ books, drawing, mixed media, and sculpture to reflect her intimacy with the Colorado woodlands and beyond. Her exhibition will be in the East Gallery and reception area October 4 - 28, 2012.

Art you can walk on!  Come explore the mastery and art of fine rugs at Azadi Telluride. Rugs from all different regions of the world hand made by Master weavers utilizing all natural dyes and materials to create masterpieces spanning hundreds of years.  The Azadi Gallery has fine antique rugs as well as contemporary works of rug art.

The Telluride Historical Museum

201 West Gregory Ave

Visit the Museum, on the First Thursday Art Walk for wine, cheese the newest exhibit, "Sight and Sound: 125 Years of Art and Music in Telluride." As part of the exhibit and Art Walk, the museum will feature a 40 year retrospective of local artist Lucy Boody's Fiber Art, Watercolors, and Organic sculpture creations. Boody's work will be featured as part of the museum's exhibit
throughout October.

Tweed presents Maryanne Quinn, textile artist working with felted wool. Her pieces incorporate images of animals and botanicals in vibrantly colored compositions suitable for many lifestyles and environments. Each piece is an original made with naturally dyed Merino wool. The images are cut and layered, then fused together through a wet felting process.
