Huffington Post: Telluride Mountainfilm Festival 2012 in VIDEO

Telluride's highly anticipatedMountainFilm Festival will grace the southwestern Colorado town May 25th-28th this year. 2012 marks the 34th anniversary of the festival, which aims to "celebrate indomitable spirit."

While there's no way to see (let alone absorb) each of the festival's 75 films (some play concurrently), we've taken a stab at narrowing down the list. Festival director David Holbrooke also has highlighted a selection of 10 must-see films, viewable here.

That said, Holbrooke cautions readers from ranking films. “I don’t believe in ranking the films we play because they’re all, in their own way, worthwhile," he says on the MountainFilm blog. "And much of what you take away from a film is what you bring to it — your mood, energy and receptivity to new ideas — but I feel that all of these films in the list will resonate with audiences in a real and sustained way.”

In addition to the trailers assembled below, we eagerly look forward to a few films whose trailers were not readily available. Among them are: Unicorn Sashimi, a Japanese ski film made with some of the same guys from Sweetgrass Productions; and Ken Burns' The Dust Bowl, airing at MountainFilm nearly 6 months before it'll be available on PBS.
