The Sheridan Arts Foundation presents its Wild West Fest benefit concert:  Imagine, a Beatles Tribute Band 

June 8, 8 p.m., doors at 7:30 p.m. 

Sheridan Opera House

 “All You Need is Love,” “Lady Madonna,” “Yellow Submarine,” “Abby Road,” “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”….everyone has their favorite Beatles song.  

The Beatles represent the advent of modern rock and roll and the Sheridan Opera House is kicking off its summer concert lineup with a true Beatles celebration.

Imagine, a Beatles tribute band out of will play the historic Opera House stage on Friday, June 8 as part of the 21st annual Wild West Fest. 

Each year the Sheridan Arts Foundation, the 501(c)3 non-profit that owns and operates the Opera House, brings inner-city youth from Boys and Girls Clubs from around the country to Telluride for a week-long celebration of Western arts, culture and custom. They spend three days with professionals in the fields of drama, dance, music, fly-fishing, horsemanship and outdoor pursuits as part of the Wild West Fest’s Chip Allen Mentorship Program. 

The Wild West Fest benefit concert will be kicked off with performances from the drama, dance and music mentorship groups. 

The Utah-based tribute band, Imagine, will follow the kids with a rollicking performance remembering the Fabulous Four. And that’s what this Beatles tribute band is all about. 

From their convincing Liverpool accents with Beatles wit to their pointed Cuban heel boots and authentic vintage instruments, what you’ll experience during their show is pure magic. It’s like see the Beatles in concert for the first time!

These four lads joined forces in 1993 to create Imagine and have performed more than 1,000 shows across the United States and abroad. Over the years, they have shared the state with such notable acts as the Beach Boys, Jay Leno, Chicago, Three Dog Night, Glen Campbell, the Temptations, the Commodores and more. They’ve performed at the Nokia Sugarbowl in New Orleans for a national TV audiences being the furst act to ever perform at the USANA amphitheater in Salt Late City. 

The Fab Four who have “Come Together” as Imagine are: 

• Tom Coburn (John Lennon): A California native who worked for Delta Airlines for a quarter century, he began performing music on the side at age 16. In 1995 he retired from the corporate world to pay tribute to the Beatles as a full-time jog. He plays the piano, guitar, bass and harmonica. 

• Richard Fazzi (Paul McCartney): Fazzi anchors stage right with his incredible performance of Sir Paul and he just so happens to be a lefty as well. He plays bass, guitar and piano. 

• Brad Armstrong (George Harrison): This Utah native has been instrumental in developing Imagine into the versatile band that they are today. Growing up in a house full of Beatlemaniacs, he claims, “It was like a 24/7 Beatles trivia show.”  When he’s not in character he’s a real estate agent in the Salt Lake area.

• Daniel Burt (Ringo Starr): A professional drummer for more than 40 years, Burt is the backbeat of the group. He is the group’s vocal arranger and when he’s not paying tribute to the Beatles, he’s a teacher in Salt Lake City. 

The show begins at 8 p.m. on June 8 with CAMP performances opening for Imagine.
