This intimate gathering at the Sheridan Opera House features distinguished honorees from the around the world who discuss the past, present and future of technology. Tech Fest is based on the historical fact that in 1891, Nikola Tesla, George Westinghouse and Telluride’s own L.L. Nunn built the world’s first commercial-grade AC power plant in Telluride, Colorado. The intimate mountain environment of Telluride continues to be an ideal environment for discussion and reflection.

The festival features Nobel laureates, Internet pioneers, science leaders and a free Tesla coil demonstration Friday and Saturday night on main street.
