Norwood hosts a classic county fair with the judging of 4-H livestock and crafts, a dessert contest and more. The 2009 San Miguel Basin Fair and Rodeo takes place at the San Miguel Country Fairgrounds.

The weekend kicks off with one of the best small town rodeos on the Western Slope. The junior rodeo begins in Norwood at 9 a.m. on Staurday. Professional rodeo follows with team ropin' on Sunday.
