Wild Mushrooms: From Forage to Feast (with John Sir Jesse & Bertrand Marchal)

Thursday, August 20 | 9am-1pm forage & 5-8pm feast | $170 + $30 ingredients A guided foray culminating in a delicious meal. Join local wild mushroom expert John Sir Jesse and French chef Bertrand Marchal for a day of discovery, delicacy and delight. Spend the morning on a guided foray into Telluride’s high country to learn about and gather a variety of edible local fungi. Then reconvene in the evening to transform the day’s harvest into a delicious dinner while learning the nuances of cooking wild mushrooms – whether the beloved chanterelle, the nutty King Bolete or the subtle Shaggy Mane. For forage, wear comfortable shoes, bring sunscreen/hat, water, snacks, lunch, small sharp knife and cloth or paper bag for collecting. For the dinner, bring your own beverage.
