Ayurveda- Practices and Rituals for Winter

AYURVEDA - FROM FALL TO WINTER: Ayurvedic Seasonal Wisdom and Practices Every year we hear “I’m not quite ready for winter.” This weekend workshop is your chance to be-friend the transition. The ancient wisdom of Ayurveda teaches us how to live in harmony with our environment so that we can embrace, not resist, what is. Join us for the magic that comes as we learn to live in harmony, happiness and optimal health. This workshop will teach you how to move, rest, eat and love for the season. Quality and passion imbue the teachings of Balarama Chandra Das, a teacher whom we are delighted to bring back to Telluride! Learn to live vibrantly through the ancient, divine knowledge transmitted in the Charaka Samhita, the traditional ayurvedic text. Join us for four classes: Friday- 5:30-7:30pm Rituals for Fall to Winter Part I Saturday- 9:00-11:00am Practices for Fall to Winter Part I Saturday- 1:00-3:00pm Rituals for Fall to Winter Part II Sunday- 10:00-12:00pm Practices for Fall to Winter Part II Each class individually will be of benefit but to receive the fullest transmission please commit to the full weekend. Bring a notebook and yoga clothes as you can expect some asana, especially in the morning classes. His primary focus is on Ayurvedic Psychology and Habit Reformation through positive expression and the simple means of approaching health and healing through yoga, breath, and diet. Balarama is an expert facilitator ofthe conversation of self transformation and dharma via international educational trainings, retreats, and personal counseling. He has the dynamic ability to make the seemingly complicated - practical, humorous and exciting.
