Holiday Prelude Art Walk

Telluride Art Walk is a festive celebration of the arts in the Telluride Arts District for art lovers, community and friends. Telluride Arts is glad to present a special Holiday Art Walk featuring an intimate list of venues and lots of winter-time cheer. The Art Walk will take place on the second Thursday this December and will resume its usual first-Thursday scheduling in January 2016.

Gallery 81435 presents an exciting new series of industrial landscape paintings by Denver artist Sharon Feder. Her show "Δ t" (Change in Time) contemplates the geometry and emptiness of structures, both visually and metaphorically. Buildings, as elements that form our urban environment, inform both an understanding and unity with both the made and natural world.

Lustre Gallery is showcasing the work of Duke Plofker through December 13th. Duke will join Lustre for an artist reception Thursday evening for Art Walk.  Duke Plofker, a seventeen year old photographer captures and shares energetic and vivid imagery from travels throughout elevated Colorado landscapes to fascinating moments from cities around the world. Duke is currently a senior at the Telluride High School and extremely fortunate to call Telluride home.

Telluride Gallery presents "Dan Budnik: Picturing Artists." Renowned photojournalist Dan Budnik exhibits intimate portraits of American abstract artists in their studios from the 1950’s-1970’s. Budnik will be in attendance for the opening reception during Art Walk.

The Tony Newlin Gallery features the wildlife and nature photography of Tony Newlin.  His collection includes images from Colorado, the Western United States, and Alaska.  Available in a range of sizes, finishes and frames, discover aspen trees, Colorado mountain scenes, bears, moose and a variety of other wildlife and nature scenes.  Tony is true to the original scene and believes composition, light and behavior are the keys to great images.
