A Tour of Italy: Wines of Tuscany with Bryan Thames

Thursday, February 19 | 6 – 8pm | $30 tuition + $35 wine/food (or $180 for the 3-class series) Ah Haa Winter Wine Tasting Series with Sommelier Bryan Thames Explore Italian wines from north to south and their characteristic qualities through a series of three intimate wine tastings with sommelier Bryan Thames. Guests will become familiar with wines from Piedmont, Tuscany and Sicily, three of Italy’s most noteworthy wine producing regions. Class II: Tuscany Learn how Tuscany’s most prominent grape, Sangiovese, is blended with other grapes to produce Italian superstars like Chianti Classico, Vino di Nobile Montepulciano and Super Tuscan. Guests will also experience the crisp white Vernaccia and the delicious desert wine, Vin Santo. Class I, January 15: Piedmont | Class III, March 12: Sicily While some edibles will be served with each wine, it will not be a substantial amount. It is suggested that participants eat a meal either before or after the wine tasting. Please note: These classes are subject to cancellation if the minimum registration requirement is not met.
