Image Composing in the Field: A Digital Photography Workshop with Paul Pennington
Monday, July 14, 4–7pm and Tuesday, July 15, 8–11am | $135 This is a basic digital field photography class for beginning to intermediate photographers. Meeting both in the classroom and in the field, students will learn the functions, modes and physics of digital cameras to improve their photography skills. The class will cover composition, lighting, aperture, shutter, and lenses, as well as image files and filters. An evening session and an afternoon session provide ideal lighting opportunities with free time for shooting in between. During the one-hour classroom sessions, students will edit images and critique work. The remaining two hours of each class will be spent shooting in the field. Students should come to class with three questions to help individualize their learning. Students must have a digital SLR camera (see supply list of everything you need to bring to the workshop). This workshop is part of our Visiting Artist program, therefore all cancellations must be made at least 45 days in advance. Please note: This class takes place at the Stone Building at 117 North Willow Street, Telluride.
