Local kids will have the chance to bowl with pumpkins and celebrate a host of seasonal activities at the First Annual Pumpkin Bowl on Saturday, October 19th.

The event, sponsored by Kick the Can Telluride, celebrates autumn and aims to raise awareness about Proposition 2A, a penny-per-ounce tax on sugary drinks that dedicates revenue to physical activity programs. Voters will decide on the initiative this November.

All community children and their families are invited to attend this fun and free day of Pumpkin Bowling, face painting, apple bobbing and more at Elks Park.

Kids can register at Elks Park the morning of the event.

With registration, each child will receive a ticket to redeem for a brown bag lunch, a pumpkin, and chance to win a variety of prizes, including a student ski pass for the Telluride Ski Resort’s 2013-2014 season.
