Lincoln is a fitting movie for a Playwrights Festival benefit, as the screenwriter Tony Kushner is one of America’s most revered and talented award-winning playwrights. Lincoln is also a perfect movie to start the New Year. It’s a movie that celebrates the highest ideals of mankind and one that will invariably ‘spark’ discussion and debate, which is what Sparky Productions is all about. This year Sparky is branching out to contribute to the cultural diversity of the community, through plays and films. On January 10thSparkFILM will commence the first in a series of free monthly films, in collaboration with the Wilkinson Public Library, with discussions led by screenwriter Jeffrey Price.
