Elephant Revival with The Infamous Stringdusters in Concert
Elephant Revival, the neo-acoustic transcendental folk quintet from Nederland, Colorado, continuously reveals hidden treasures deep within a vast repertoire of original material. In just one show the quintet can be seen delving into original folk pieces fused with traditional style ballads, Scottish/Celtic fiddle tunes, psychedelic country, indie rock, powerful reggae grooves, 40s/50s jazz standards and an occasional hip-hop beat. The band released its second studio album, ‘Break in the Clouds’ on Ruff Shod Records an independent label created by Chad Stokes of State Radio, on November 22, 2010. ‘Break in the Clouds’ was produced by David Tiller of Taarka. The new album expands upon the group’s multi–genre musical approach, threading together dynamic instrumentation and a diverse rhythmic sound while exploring the depths of all five of the groups’ gifted songwriters. The album debuted at #2 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter chart & was featured as a new & noteworthy independent release. Catch Elephant Revival this MLK weekend, performing two nights, co-billed with the well known Bluegrass band The Infamous Stringdusters.
