Young People's Theater presents "Robin Hood", a musical
Join 27 young actors grades 6-8 in a reprise of one of the SAFYPT’s most hilarious and popular musical plays, Robin Hood! It’s the Robin Hood, Little John, and Maid Marion we all know and love, with a few Young People’s Theater twists that turn this whole production upside-down in a very merry, very musical way! True to YPT tradition, this cast of characters includes several deviations from the usual tale, such as Sister Tuck (a nun who thinks she’s in The Sound of Music), a gang of feisty female thieves, and a very important rubber chicken. With a score of musical theater hits including “Comedy Tonight”, “It’s a Fine Life”, and “Make ‘Em Laugh”, audiences will marvel at the singing and dancing talents of this remarkable cast. The Young People’s Theater directors include Artistic Director Jennifer Julia (who also adapted the script), Music Director Bob Callendale Israel (a member of the YPT staff since 2000), and Choreographer Lyndia McGauhey (a YPT alum!). “This is one of my favorite of our adapted stories…it’s bizarre and silly and just plain joyful. I can’t wait to laugh along with the audience every night!” -- Jennifer Julia, Artistic Director Tickets are $13 for adults, $11 for students 12 and under, with lap children free! Come down for an evening of fun and entertainment that the whole family can enjoy. The concessions stand will be open with plenty of popcorn and treats for all.
