Telluride Summer College: Native Plants of the San Miguel Watershed
Telluride Summer College presents a course in Native Plants of the San Miguel Watershed.

Monday - Thursday
(1 credit Mesa State College)
Instructor: Yvette Hensen, MS
Location: Telluride region
Tuition: $145 Non-credit, $210 for 1 credit hour
This class visit different sites in the region to overview each ecosystem's characteristics, dominant plants and ecological relationships. Students will learn basic botany for plant I.D. and to key using The Colorado Flora, the accepted botanical text for Colorado. The afternoons will be held in classrooms near the site tour of that day, where discussions of the readings, and additional lecture will occur.
Telluride Summer College:
The University Centers of the San Miguel (UCSM) is partnering with Mesa State College, Colorado Northwestern Community College, Telluride School District, CSU Extension (San Miguel Basin) office, The New Community Coalition, and others to create the Telluride Summer College.
High school and college students, and interested adults are invited to take these great classes. The classes are available for up to 6 Mesa State College credits, and also for non-credit. These classes can also be applied to the new Mesa State College Certificate in Sustainability Practices.
Earn Certificates in UCSM Sustainable Studies and/or Permaculture Design and further your knowledge and career opportunities as well as expand your relationship with the natural world.
