Winter Moon Sled Dog Adventures
Imagine gliding through the snow behind a team of sled dogs. This is a great adventure, so why not take this opportunity and have the time of your life? These huskies like to start early in the morning—the colder the better, of course, so dress warmly. The experience is perfect for those seeking a different way to explore the natural winter beauty of the San Juan Mountains.
Make friends with new canine companions and learn how to prepare both them and a sled for a fun-filled dog sled adventure. This is a great activity for all ages. A "musher," professional guide, will help you to prepare your team and sled and then act as the driver.
Each dog sled generally holds two adults, plus the "musher" who stands on the back of the sled. Your new dog friends will pull you to various locations and spectacular views. Reservations required.

Local's Tip
Be sure to plan ahead and to be prepared. Eye protection is required but not provided, so bring your own ski goggles or sunglasses depending on the day's weather.
Dress as you would for a day of skiing with gloves and footwear that is warm. It is best to avoid wearing long dangling clothing and scarves. Sunscreen and lip balm are also a good idea on bright sunny days.
