SquidShow Theatre
SquidShow Theatre creates exciting, challenging, original and professional theatrical extravaganzas that integrate music, dance, art and comedy at minimal costs for audience members. Collaboration forms the core of their process, creating new plays and re-imagining existing texts. The work is dedicated to high comedy, deep story and truth. SquidShow loves to surprise audiences with unconventional theatrics and believe that great theatre lives in the moment of truthful human connection.
In 2009 SquidShow Theatre produced 1 full-length contemporary play, 3 full-length original plays, 6 professional play readings, and 2 historical adaptations from non-fiction work, totaling 19 performance dates with approximately 1,423 attendees. The creative group collaborats with TCAH, Mountain Film, The Sheridan Arts Foundation, The Telluride Historical Museum, The Ah Haa School for the Arts, Mudd Butts Mystery Theatre, Sparky Production’s Telluride Playwright’s Festival, Telluride Mountain Sprouts and The Town of Telluride’s Bear Awareness Week.
