Winter 2013/2014 Guide Hits Racks This Week
We are proud to announce the release of our new winter guide featuring stories on everything from fashion to theater. The cover, a geological map of the Telluride area, gives the reader a preview of the feature story, which is about our rock star of a town, 500 million years in the making. It digs into the genetics of North America’s #1 ski resort and how the breathtaking landscape of our beloved town was developed.
Read a little further, and get a preview of how Dr. Kim Hewson uses his medical background to teach ski biomechanics, or learn more about off-mountain activities like fat tire biking, Nordic skiing, and so much more.
Learn about Telluride’s new distinction as a Creative Arts District, and all it takes to earn this designation. Sasha and Colin Sullivan, two people who embody Telluride’s creative spirit, reveal what is to expect from Telluride Theatre this winter. The guide explores Rustico, a restaurant that brings a little bit of Italy to our town, and a list of hot spots not to miss during your après ski run.
Be sure to check out the story on Two Skirts, a Telluride boutique that brings runway fashion to the box canyon. Also, check out the story on Beth and John Kelly, a local couple who started a business called “Big Colorado Love”. Their message is simple: a heart in the place of the classic “C” on Colorado’s ubiquitous state flag.
Other stories include information on Telluride’s Regional Air program and being rebranded as Colorado Flights Alliance, Collaboration Camps for meeting planners, celebrating your wedding day in Telluride, the Telluride Historical Museum’s new distinction as a Smithsonian Affiliate, and much, much more.
