We are still in our summer months and loving it but winter prep has begun. Starting Friday and lasting through Sunday, Telluride Sports on Main Streets hosts the 35th Annual Blizzard sale. This is Telluride’s larges ski and snowboard sale with great deals on winter gear. Also on Friday is Music on the Green: McCarthy Jazz Trio. Head to Reflection Plaza for the free concert series and enjoy this mix of jazz and blues that is sure to make you dance. On Saturday, Telluride Theatre Sings presents their annual fundraiser. This year, the group is tackling The Beastie Boys so make sure to get out and support your local theatre. Close out the weekend at the Palm Theater where historical documentary filmmaker Ken Burns will be screening an episode from his documentary JAZZ.

35th Annual Blizzard Sale: Telluride Sports Main St. Telluride's best and biggest ski & snowboard sale will open to the public on Friday, August 25th and run through the weekend. Music on the Green: McCarthy Jazz Trio: The Town of Mountain Village Owners Association and Beyond the Groove present "Music on the Green", a free concert series taking place at Reflection Plaza, adjacent to the Madeline Hotel and Residence. Playing a mix of jazz and blues, and infusing their performances with improvisation that plays to the crowd, the McCarthy Jazz Trio explores the structure of jazz classics with an ever-changing perspective. Consisting of Mike Enriquez, Chris Goplerud and Kevin McCarthy, the Trio takes audiences down a nimble and creative musical journey.

Telluride Theatre Sings! Telluride Theatre SINGS a fundraiser for Telluride Theatre. This year Telluride Theatre is tackling TWO great groups - THE BEASTIE BEACH BOYS w/ Pick-A-Prize Raffle OVER 40 item worth OVER $10,000 you pick/bid only on what you want to win. Think LIVE game show with amazing entertainment.

An Evening w/ Ken Burns: Join preeminent historical documentary filmmaker Ken Burns for a screening of an episode from his documentary, JAZZ. The screening will be followed by an audience Q&A with Ken Burns and book signing. Tickets can be purchased prior to the event, by phone at 970.728.3344 or online at www.telluridemuseum.org.
