What's Going On This Week
Spring has officially sprung and the skiing is looking great! The season may be winding down, but there are still plenty of fun events to keep everyone busy. Check out this week’s featured events below.
Friends of the Library Book Sale: Stop by the Wilkinson Public Library this weekend for the Friends of the Library Book Sale. FOL will be taking place Friday and Saturday from 10AM – 6PM and Sunday from 10AM-2PM. All proceeds benefit the library.
Cardboard Sled Derby: Don’t miss out on One to One Mentoring's Cardboard Sled Derby fundraiser. Ages 5-14 are able to compete with a 2-person max per sled and Derby begins at 10:30 a.m. at Nastar Race Hill. Pre-Registration is required and is $25.00 per sled. You can register or sponsor a sled on One To One Mentor's Website. There will be prizes for creativity of sled and for the top 3 finishing times. Join the race or just head to the Village Core to watch!
Telluride Rotary Red Ball Express: Telluride Rotary Club’s 16th Annual Red Ball Express will roll down the Nastar course on Sunday at 3:45PM and somebody will take away the $5000 first prize along with 100 Mega Million Lottery Tickets. Second and third prizes are $1000 and $500 respectively. Rotarians and folks from Alpine Bank, major sponsor of the event, will be selling $5 and $20 Adopt-a-Ball tickets if you missed getting one from a local non-profit in the past few months of selling frenzy. They are available at the Alpine Bank Tent at The Beach, bottom of Chair 4 in Mountain Village, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, 9 a.m. to about 3 p.m. on Sunday. Will you be the lucky winner this year??
Burlesque: Telluride Theatre takes over the Sheridan Opera House for its annual Burlesque performance. Cheap Thrills takes place Wednesday March 28th and the Advanced Calendar Girls performances will be Friday, March 30th and Saturday March 31st at 9 p.m. nightly.
